Since 1993 I have been experimenting with necklaces, the parts of which are fixed by simple techniques such as fitting or bending them together.
My new workpieces continue this approach, but instead of using metal – which has been my material of choice – I switched to plastic. It was a technical challenge to transfer the principle of sequencing to another material, and the haptical and optical effect of this soft material (air filled plastic material) marks the interface between jewellery and clothing.
